Athletics Family,

What a competitive and exciting week for Taravella Athletics!

⚾ Baseball

Our boys represented in the BCAA Tournament facing West Broward, Cypress Bay, and Western. We had the luxury of hosting two of the three matchups. Although we went 1–2 on the week, this team fought all seven innings in every contest. I am incredibly proud of their grit and competitiveness.

Good luck to our boys as they hit the road this week!

πŸ₯Ž Softball

Softball went 2–0, clinching strong wins against Hollywood Hills and Coral Springs High. The ladies are playing with confidence and momentum. They host two home games this week — come out and support our softball team!

🏐 Boys Volleyball

What a week! The boys opened the season hosting three home matches and went 3–0, defeating CS Charter, American Heritage, and Piper.

Our JV team also competed in a tournament at Glades, supporting a fundraiser for the Glades coach — a great display of sportsmanship and community support.

Outstanding week, gentlemen. Good luck on the road this week!

🏈 Flag Football

Our ladies continue to make a mark for themselves. Despite a tough battle against Chaminade last week, they are competing hard and growing every game. This week they face Flanagan — good luck, ladies!

πŸƒ‍♂️ Track & Field

As always, strong performances on the road — running fast and throwing far!

Great job, Track team, and good luck this week at Dillard.

I am extremely proud of all our programs and the way our student-athletes continue to compete, represent, and support one another.

Proud to be a part of the Taravella Athletics circle.

We Bleed Blue & Grey. One Team. One Mission. πŸ’™πŸ€

The JV boys battled back after a slow start and showed pure heart and grit to pull off a huge comeback win to close their season! They finished with an awesome 15–8 record, showing tremendous growth from the first game to the last.

πŸŽ‰ Congratulations to Our Girls Soccer Team! βš½

2026GirlsSoccerGoal.mp4

Last night was a milestone moment for our girls soccer team as they secured their first win of the season with an impressive 3–1 victory over Boyd Anderson.

As a school, we take pride in celebrating all athletic accomplishments. Every team, every athlete, and every effort matters. But today, we feel the Girls Soccer team deserves a special spotlight — not just for the win, but for the incredible journey that brought them here.

At the start of the year, we weren’t even sure we would have a girls season. Yet these young women showed up — day after day, ready to work, ready to grow, and ready to stand together. Their commitment turned uncertainty into strength.

A heartfelt thank‑you goes to Coach Maraja, who stood by them from the very beginning, never giving up and always believing in what they could become. The team played every game on the road this season and never once complained. Their resilience and unity speak volumes.

Last night’s win wasn’t just a game — it was a celebration of perseverance, teamwork, and heart. What an incredible way to close out the regular season as they head into districts next week.

πŸ‘ Congratulations, Coach Maraj and the entire girls soccer team!  Your hard work has truly paid off, and we are so proud of you.
